Shipping States - Where does Wine ship wine?
Where We Ship
We ship wine to
select states in accordance with state laws. Please use our “Ship to”
state select drop down menu to determine if we ship wine to your state.
Details
Many
states prohibit out-of-state retailers from shipping wine to residents of their
state. State laws on wine shipping are complex and under constant review, and
we look forward to a day when all states open up to out-of-state retailers so
we can offer you all our full assortment of products.
In
the meantime, we've opened a network of Wine.com warehouses in a number of
states, giving us a local presence in those states. This enables us to legally
ship wine to our customers in those states while also reducing the shipping
time to get you your wine. Unfortunately, in some states not even that will
suffice, so keep those letters and emails flowing to your state legislators!
States with zip code restrictions
on wine shipments
Local
laws prevent us from shipping to certain zip codes in the states below.
Information regarding zip codes that are not currently serviced by Wine will
appear at the time that orders are placed.
Alaska
Florida
Idaho
New Hampshire
States with additional regulations
Connecticut
& New York: State regulations prohibit wine and food from being
shipped in the same package. Gifts & Baskets ordered that include both food
and wine will be sent in two separate packages.
Texas:
Texas state law prohibits us from shipping wines containing more than 16%
alcohol.
Shipping Rates - What do you charge
for shipping?
For standard,
non-scheduled delivery, Shipping and Handling rates will vary. All shipping
cost are marked prior to purchase and are based on current UPS rates.
During
extreme temperature (hot or cold):
Shipping and handling charges may be slightly higher for wine shipments to
cover rapid delivery to minimize the chance of damage. This
additional cost would be reflected in the shopping cart at checkout.
Note: Select merchandise may require
additional shipping charges which will be reflected at checkout.

Limits - Why would the shopping cart limit the wine I can buy?
In most states,
regulations limit the amount of wine that can be shipped to a single
address in a given period of time. The limits vary state to state, some
with monthly limits and others with yearly limits. Because of these
regulations, if an order you are placing will exceed the bottle limit to
your shipping address, our wine.com shopping cart will not allow you
to place the order and will let you know you have exceeded your
limit.
There may also be times when a wine, or one of our distributors, a winery
or wholesaler has specified a limit on a specific wine because of limited
availability.
If you encounter a limit and would like further clarification, you may contact Wine
Customer Care for help by emailing us at info@walkerwine.com
